Micah 7:7-9

7 As for me, I look to the Lord for his help.
I wait confidently for God to save me,
and my God will certainly hear me.
8 Do not gloat over me, my enemies!
For though I fall, I will rise again.
Though I sit in darkness,
the Lord himself will be my light.
9 I will be patient as the Lord punishes me,
for I have sinned against him.
But after that, he will take up my case
and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies.
The Lord will bring me out of my darkness

into the light, and I will see his righteousness.

The LORD will bring me out of my darkness into the light, and I will see His righteousness.

God brings us down to our weakest, most dependant state so that not only do we have to rely fully on Him for everything but also so that when He does amazing things, in and through us, we and others around us realize that it is through God’s Glory and Power that things are done, not through our own strength. God also brings us out of darkness and performs miracles to show His Righteousness, not for our benefit or fame but to proclaim His Power and Might. If we are powerless, then we cannot boast about anything and must give all Glory and Honor to God and keep ourselves humble.
